Jonathan Chomko is an artist working with and against technology. His works often examine the seam between the physical and digital; how digital forces translate into the 'real world’, and how physical phenomena are modulated as they enter the digital.

The majority of these works are designed to be experienced in the public realm, with the aim of allowing those who encounter the works to encounter them without a prescriptive context.

Public works have been presented in cities such as Bristol, London, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Austin and Paris, working with city councils and festivals. Installation works have been shown at the Sydney Opera House, the Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, the London Design Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Works have been commissioned by institutions such as the UK Space Agency and Historic Royal Palaces.

Jonathan is also co-founder of Chomko & Rosier, a collaborative practice established with Matthew Rosier in 2014. The studio creates projects for cultural and heritage clients in the UK and beyond.
